You need a computer. Start with these steps.

• Create a folder named my-first-website.
• Create three files: index.html, style.css, and script.js.

Write your structure in index.html. Write your style in style.css. Write your logic in script.js.

Open index.html in your browser. Click your button. If a popup appears, it works.

Most people use phones. Add media queries to your CSS. Your site will fit small screens.

Host your site for free. Use GitHub Pages. Upload your files. Set the branch. Save. Your site is live.

Fix errors with F12. Check your filenames. They must match.

Try adding these next:

• Menus
• Forms
• Dark mode
• Images

Every expert started with one page. Build small things. Break them. Fix them. Repeat.
