Every developer uses AI now. It helps with prototyping and building templates. But there is a trap called Vibe Coding.
Vibe Coding happens when you build a project using AI without understanding the logic. You see code that works, so you move on. This works for fun projects, but it fails during job interviews.
If you list a Vibe Coded project on your resume, you must explain every detail. If you cannot explain why you chose a specific logic, you fail. It is like saying you did a backflip in Chinese when you do not speak Chinese.
The risk is clear:
- You build polished projects that look good on paper.
- You lose the ability to explain your own work.
- You stop learning the fundamental logic.
The workflow changed. In the past, developers wrote code, hit a wall, searched Google, and tweaked a StackOverflow answer. Now, AI provides the answer instantly. This lowers the barrier to entry for new programmers.
However, you must find a balance.
If you use too much AI, you are not learning. You are just relying on a tool. If you use too little AI, you waste time on manual tasks like creating mock data.
Use AI as a tool, not an authority. Use it to speed up your work, but ensure you own the code. If you did not write the logic, you do not own the knowledge.
How do you balance AI in your daily workflow?
