An engineer spent three days on a bug. It should have taken four hours. The code had no documentation. The original builder was gone.

I offered to fix it. The engineer said no. They wanted to know how it worked. They did not want a quick fix.

By the end, they understood the system. They did not only fix the bug. They learned the logic.

AI changes this. AI fixes bugs in minutes. You move fast. But you move hollow.

Two roles exist:

• The patcher fixes a bug.
• The owner learns the system.

The struggle is a filter. It separates people with ideas from people who know how things break.

You have a choice now. Move fast without knowing. Or move slow to learn.
