Deezer launched an AI music detector. It checks playlists from Spotify and Apple Music. It finds AI tracks. Detection is no longer a secret tool for staff. It is now a feature for users.
This is a big shift. AI labels used to be for rules. Now they help people choose what to hear. Users get a signal to support their taste.
This applies to all apps. If you build apps with user content, users will ask:
- Where did this come from?
- Was AI used?
- Is this trustworthy?
Design for these questions now.
- Use source metadata.
- Separate AI-assisted content from full AI content.
- Show uncertainty.
- Give creators a way to appeal.
Trust features are core product features. Privacy settings were once new. Now AI labels will be standard.
