The Indian LNG carrier Disha passed through the Strait of Hormuz safely.
A Shipping Ministry official confirmed the news on Monday. This vessel carries 62,370 metric tonnes of LNG cargo.
This is a significant event for Indian shipping. It is the first Indian flagged LNG vessel to leave this war zone in over three months.
The ship belongs to a consortium led by the Shipping Corporation of India.
The cargo is headed to India. It should arrive at Dahej port on June 18.
