Focus on these four patterns:

• AI in Workflows: Tools in your editor write code.
• AI Introspection: AI checks code quality and security.
• Agent Assisted Change: AI updates many systems at once. This fixes the distributed monolith problem.
• Super-Agents: AI manages tasks and tickets without a human.

Microservices made systems complex. Coordination became hard. AI fixes this. It looks at the whole system as one piece.

Cloud prices are rising. Move AI to local hardware. Wait for new tools in late 2026.

Your team structure must change:

• Stop protecting code ownership.
• Move to a custodianship model.
• Use small teams with a master and an apprentice.
• This keeps programming knowledge alive.

AI amplifies your habits.

Good practices get better. Bad practices fail faster.

Focus on quality. Focus on care.
