Build projects if you want to learn web development. I built a resume website to practice my skills.

The page displays:

I used HTML5 and CSS3. I used no frameworks.

• Flexbox
• Box shadow effects
• Responsive design basics

The site has two columns. The left side has a dark background. It shows:

• Contact details
• Skills
• Languages
• Strengths

The right side shows:

• Name and role
• Professional summary
• Projects
• Education
• Portfolio links

I learned these skills:

• Flexbox layouts
• Spacing and alignment
• Section design
• Typography

Aligning content was hard at first. Practice helped me understand Flexbox.

This project improved my knowledge of:

• HTML structure
• CSS styling
• User interface basics

My next steps:

• Mobile responsiveness
• Resume download button
• Dark and light mode
• Profile picture

Building this site was helpful. I feel more confident now. I will build bigger projects next.
