I used GitHub Copilot and Cursor for months. Both tools help you write code faster. But they are not perfect.
GitHub Copilot:
- Learns your coding style.
- Helps with repetitive tasks.
- Simplifies API integration.
- Suggests old libraries sometimes.
Cursor:
- Finds areas to optimize.
- Focuses on short code.
- Often lacks readability.
- Feels too aggressive with changes.
The danger is blind trust. Accepting AI code without review adds bugs. Your intuition is your best tool. AI supports your work. It does not replace your skill.
I use both tools together. Copilot handles the flow. Cursor helps with the cleanup.
Review every line. Stay in control of your code.
