Doyeon Kim is now an Apache SeaTunnel Committer.

She is still a university student. This is a major milestone for her journey in open source.

Two years ago, we interviewed Doyeon as a newcomer. She quickly became one of our most active contributors. Now, she has earned the trust of the global community.

Her work covers more than just writing code. She contributes to the Zeta engine, improves connectors, and helps with documentation.

Key areas of her impact:

Doyeon believes a Committer role is more than just permission to merge code. It is a responsibility to guide new contributors and maintain code quality.

She plans to continue helping the community grow. She wants to support more developers in South Korea and share her technical learnings through writing.

Her story shows that curiosity and consistent work lead to real impact.
