AI agents now take actions. They use your APIs, files, and databases. They connect to SaaS apps and MCP servers.

Prompts do not provide security. A prompt tells an agent what to do. Runtime permissions tell an agent what it is allowed to do.

Production agents need this difference. Better reasoning is not enough. You need controlled execution. Permissions must live in the runtime.
