Claude Design is a tool from Anthropic. It turns your words into visual work like prototypes, slide decks, and landing page concepts.

You describe a design. Claude builds it. You refine it by talking, dragging elements, or using sliders. When you finish, you export it to tools like Canva, Adobe, Figma, or PowerPoint.

Many people confuse three different things. You must know the difference to work well.

  1. Claude Design: The product. It is a workspace where Claude renders designs live. It uses real HTML and CSS so the results are not just flat images.

  2. Creative Connectors: Integrations that bring tools into your chat. You can use Adobe, Canva, or Figma tools inside Claude without opening those apps.

  3. Claude Code: A tool for developers. This writes the actual production code to turn a design into a live website.

When to use Claude Design:

  • Pitch decks and presentations.
  • Product mockups and wireframes.
  • Landing page concepts.
  • Email templates in HTML.
  • Dashboards with motion or 3D.

The workflow is simple: Describe, refine, and export.

You can also use a design system. Claude reads your brand colors, fonts, and components. This ensures every project stays on brand.

Use this guide to pick the right tool for the job:

• Internal pitch deck: Use Claude Design. Export to PowerPoint or Canva. • Landing page concept: Use Claude Design, then Claude Code. • Client flyer or menu: Use Claude Design to Canva. • Daily social posts: Use your current tools. • Photo cleanup: Use the Adobe connector in Claude. • Production website: Use Claude Code. • Complex app UI: Use Figma.

The strategy is clear. Use Claude Design to start and explore ideas. Use specialist tools for your existing workflow. Use code to ship a real product.

Claude Design is not a replacement for designers. It shortens the gap between an idea and a finished product.
