Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta presented the first BJP government budget for West Bengal. The budget introduces several major changes for employees and women.

- The new DA rate will reach 38 percent starting October 1, 2026.

- Women will travel for free on all government buses.
- Special pink cards will grant women free bus access.
