India reported several changes in trade data for May.

Merchandise exports reached $45.2 billion. This represents an 18% increase compared to last year. Total exports for April and May reached $88.91 billion. This figure is 16.09% higher than the same period last year.

Imports reached $73.41 billion. This is a 20.62% increase from the previous year. The trade deficit reached $28.21 billion.

Gold imports increased by 60% during the first two months of the fiscal year. This totaled $9.04 billion.

Trade data for the Middle East shows stability. Exports to West Asia reached $5.30 billion in May. This compares to $5.38 billion in May 2025.
