𝗜 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗮 𝗥𝗔𝗚 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.
I did not want to build a RAG app. I wanted to fix a problem.
AI in healthcare needs accuracy. It needs zero creativity. The model must find the answer in the text. If the answer is missing, the model must say so. No guessing.
I focused on the right chunking strategy. This makes the retrieval work.
I added these features:
- Local LLM support via Ollama. This keeps data on-premises. Clinical data must stay safe.
- Multi-document querying. You search many files at once.
- Better OCR. It handles scanned documents.
