Insurtech heavyweight Turtlemint Fintech Solutions is set to hit the primary market with an initial public offering (IPO) valued at ₹883 crore. The company has fixed a price band of ₹144–₹152 per share, aiming to fuel technological expansion and inorganic growth.
IPO Structure and Valuation Details
The upcoming public issue is scheduled to open for subscription on June 19 and will close on June 23. For institutional investors, the anchor portion will open a day earlier, on June 18. The ₹883-crore offering is divided into two distinct components: a fresh issue of equity shares worth ₹660.72 crore and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of 1.46 crore shares valued at approximately ₹221.95 crore.
At the upper end of the price band, the IPO places Turtlemint’s valuation at over ₹4,500 crore. The subscription is allocated across three categories: 75% for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), 15% for Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs), and 10% for retail investors. The company's shares are expected to list on the stock exchanges on June 29.
Strategic Use of Proceeds
Turtlemint has outlined a clear roadmap for the capital raised through the fresh issue. A significant portion of the funds will be directed toward strengthening the company's digital backbone, specifically focusing on cloud and server-related infrastructure. Additionally, the capital will support:
- Talent Acquisition: Meeting salary expenses for technology and product development teams.
- Marketing & Operations: Scaling marketing initiatives and covering lease payments for existing properties and its subsidiary, TIB.
- Growth & Expansion: Supporting working capital for TIB and funding inorganic growth through unidentified strategic acquisitions.
Investor Exit and Market Position
The OFS component provides an exit route for prominent promoters Anand Rohidas Prabhudesai and Dhirendra Nalin Mahyavanshi, alongside high-profile backers including Kunal Shah, Nexus Venture Partners, Peak XV Partners, Blume Ventures, and GGV Capital.
