cfdocument slows down your app. PDF rendering uses too much CPU. It runs on the request thread. This creates a bottleneck.

Use these three fixes:

• Move generation to a queue. Use cfthread or runAsync().
• Cache finished PDFs. Do not render identical documents again.
• Offload storage to Amazon S3. Use native s3:// support.

These steps keep your web tier fast under heavy load.
