𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗱
We built the web for human eyes. We were wrong.
Search engines give you links. You want answers. You stopped searching. You started asking.
We build the wrong tools for the wrong user. AI agents now run the internet. Agents do not have eyes. They have context windows.
UI is an obstacle. Machines struggle with CSS and DOM noise. They fight through layers of code to find one fact.
This is the Token Tax. Agents parse bloated pages. They waste compute. They waste money. They only need a single line of JSON.
We need a new rule. API first. Use JSON and GraphQL. Make interfaces machine-readable.
This does not kill beauty. It adds a new layer. One layer for humans. One layer for machines.
The future has no apps. No home screens. Only conversation. Your thought becomes action.
New roles will emerge. The Architect of Semantic Interfaces. These people design for both humans and machines.
Stop building for display. Start building for understanding. Stop optimizing for the scroll. Optimize for the query.
Build for the intelligence coming next.
