Why use file handling?

• Store data permanently.
• Read data later.
• Share data between systems.
• Manage large data sets.

Use the File class from the java.io package.

Key operations:

• createNewFile() makes a new file.
• FileWriter writes text.
• FileReader reads data.
• exists() checks if the file is there.
• canRead() checks read access.
• canWrite() checks write access.
• getAbsolutePath() shows the full path.
• delete() removes the file.
