Police arrested Sarina Bibi in South 24 Parganas. She is the wife of TMC candidate Jahangir Khan.
The arrest follows violence outside a police station. Reports say she threw stones at officers during the unrest.
Police tracked her location after she tried to flee in a vehicle. They took her into custody to face charges related to the clash.
