Midjourney sets the standard for AI image quality. Its $10 monthly fee stops many beginners from using it. The gap between paid and free tools is now small.

Use these free tools instead:

• Ideogram 2.0: Use this for text. It makes posters and thumbnails with readable words. You get 10 to 25 high-quality images per day for free.

• Leonardo AI: You get 150 free tokens every day. The Phoenix model creates portraits and concept art. It competes with Midjourney v6.

• FLUX.1: Find this on Hugging Face Spaces. It is open-source. It produces high-resolution and photorealistic images. There is no daily limit, but you may wait in a queue.

• Bing Image Creator: This uses DALL-E 3. It is the fastest way to start. It works well for simple, everyday prompts.

Free tools often lack the consistency of Midjourney. Midjourney has a large community and better prompt systems. Use these four tools for solo projects, social media, or testing ideas without spending money.
