AI hallucinations are not random errors.

An AI creates a fake fact. It invents a source. It makes a connection that does not exist.

Most people see this as a failure. They miss the real point.

Ask yourself why the AI chose that specific untruth.

When an AI fabricates a citation, it fills a gap. It picks what feels right for the context. When it invents a study, it does so because the logic requires that study to exist.

This mirrors how humans think. Your brain does not shuffle random images. It seeks meaning. It fills gaps with metaphors.

Stop trying to delete every hallucination. Start looking at what they point to.

A hallucination reveals:

Sometimes a hallucination is more honest than a fact. It shows the shape of the system's logic. It shows what the model thinks should be true.

AI reaches for meaning even when it fails the facts. This process is part of intelligence.
