Web apps are changing.

"Create an account to continue" is a massive barrier. Users leave because of these reasons:

  • They want to test the tool fast.
  • They do not want to commit.
  • They do not trust your platform yet.

Think about the tools you use every day.

  • JSON formatters.
  • Image compressors.
  • Text tools.

These tools work because they solve problems instantly. They remove friction.

Traditional platforms focus on accounts and retention. They try to lock you in.

Lightweight apps do the opposite. They provide direct access without overhead.

Not every app needs a database of users. Some apps only need to be useful right now.

The web is moving back to instant utility.
