More than a dozen companies are set to go public in the coming weeks, collectively targeting fresh equity and offer-for-sale proceeds that exceed Rs 25,000 crore. The batch includes high-profile names such as Zepto, Shiprocket and Truhome Finance.

What’s on the docket

The headline-making deals are:

  • Zepto – fresh issue of Rs 8,010 crore plus an offer-for-sale of 11.34 crore shares.
  • Truhome Finance – Rs 3,000 crore split between fresh equity and an offer-for-sale.
  • Elevate Campuses – fresh issue of Rs 2,550 crore.
  • Shiprocket – total issue of Rs 2,342.35 crore, including Rs 1,100 crore of fresh equity.
  • Innovatiview India – Rs 2,000 crore offer-for-sale.
  • Milky Mist Dairy Food – public issue of Rs 1,553 crore.

A secondary group of issuers – Dhoot Transmission, ARCIL, Ardee Industries, Gaja Alternative Asset Management, Rays of Belief, Hy-Tech Engineers, Shankesh Jewellers and Learnfluence Education – have also lodged prospectuses, though they did not disclose raise sizes.

Why the market matters

India has already seen 36 IPOs this calendar year, supporting an expectation of about $20 billion in total capital raised through listings. Zepto’s Rs 8,010 crore raise ranks among the larger offerings. Investors will use these deals to gauge appetite for high-growth, capital-intensive businesses in logistics, quick-commerce, housing finance and education.

The detail most headlines miss

While the headline numbers spotlight fresh equity, several issuers also sell existing shares through offer-for-sale. This lets current shareholders cash out without draining the company’s balance sheet.

Another nuance is the sector spread. Logistics and quick-commerce firms like Zepto and Shiprocket bet on post-pandemic demand for faster deliveries, while Elevate Campuses and Truhome Finance target education and housing finance, sectors traditionally seen as more stable. The mix may draw growth-focused funds and income-seeking institutions alike.
