AI moves fast.

A few months ago, the pace felt impossible. Every week brought a new tool or a new workflow. I felt I had to keep up or get left behind.

I tried every tool I found.

  • Cursor
  • ChatGPT
  • Claude Code
  • Lovable

I kept switching tools. I hoped one tool would fix my workflow. It did not.

I learned a lesson. The secret is not the tool. The secret is how you work with AI.

I changed my process. I do not ask AI to write code immediately.

I follow these steps:

  • I explain the problem.
  • I describe the feature and business requirements.
  • I list edge cases.
  • I define the final result.
  • I ask AI to help me plan the implementation first.

Once the plan is clear, I give it to an agentic assistant to build.

This change changed everything. I spend less time on repetitive code. I spend more time on architecture and user experience. I focus on solving the actual problem.

AI makes mistakes. I review every line before production. I act as a guide instead of a typist.

The tools change every day. The real skill is communication. Learn how to use AI as part of your process.

Invest in that skill.
