Three months ago, I built a landing page for a cafe called Beanery Cafe.
The design was clean. The animations were smooth. I thought the project was finished.
I revisited the site last week. I noticed a problem. The website looked good, but it lacked interaction.
Visitors could scroll and read. They could not engage.
I decided to add an AI chatbot.
Now, users ask questions like:
- What is your most popular coffee?
- What are your opening hours?
- Which drink should I try?
- Do you have desserts?
They get instant answers. They do not need to search through different sections.
I did not try to build a new AI product. I wanted to see how AI improves an existing project.
This process taught me three things:
- Users prefer active engagement over passive reading.
- Small updates change how people use your work.
- Improving old code is a great way to learn.
You do not always need to start a new project to grow. Revisiting your old work helps you find weaknesses. It lets you apply new skills to old ideas.
Check your GitHub repositories today. Pick an old project and add one new feature. You will see how much you have improved.
