Carson Gross joined GitHub. Some people think React is dead. Others think this move means nothing. Both groups are wrong.

GitHub hired him for the R&D team. R&D teams test new ideas. They do not rewrite the whole site in one day.

HTMX is a tool. It makes dynamic pages without much JavaScript. It solves specific problems.

React is also a tool. It solves different problems.

Stop treating code like a political party. Stop fighting over frameworks.

Smart companies do this:

Sometimes you need React. Sometimes you need HTMX. Sometimes you need plain HTML.

This news shows the hypermedia approach has value. It does not make your current code old.

Stop the noise. Focus on the problem you solve.
