Tangazo muhimu zaidi la soko ni uwezekano wa IPO kubwa zaidi katika historia ya India. Jio Platforms, nguvu kubwa katika sekta ya kidijitali na mawasiliano, imewasilisha rasimu ya hati ya maelezo ya IPO (DRHP) kwa SEBI kwa ajili ya utoaji mpya wa hadi hisa 27 crore.
Ikilenga kukusanya takriban Rs 37,700 crore (karibu $bilioni 4), utoaji huo unatarajiwa kuipa Jio Platforms thamani ya takriban $bilioni 137. Mapato kutokana na utoaji huu mkubwa wa umma yamepangwa kwa ajili ya kulipa au kulipia mapema mikopo iliyopo inayodaiwa na kampuni yake tanzu muhimu, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd (RJIL), pamoja na mahitaji mengine ya jumla ya kampuni.

Mukesh Ambani alisisitiza kuwa akili mnemba (AI) itakuwa nguzo kuu ya mustakabali wa Reliance. Mradi wa kikundi hicho unaozingatia AI, Reliance Intelligence, unahama kutoka hatua ya upangaji hadi utekelezaji hai. Ambani ametoa wito mahususi kwa vipaji vijana vya uhandisi nchini India ili kujenga suluhisho za AI za ndani zilizoboreshwa kwa ajili ya soko la India.
Ikikamilisha msukumo huu wa kidijitali ni msisitizo mpya kwenye mtandao mpana wa satelaiti (satellite broadband). Ili kupanua uwezo wake wa muunganisho zaidi ya mitandao ya kawaida ya ardhini na miundombinu yake ya sasa ya 5G, Reliance inajiandaa kutumia huduma zinazotegemea satelaiti ili kuhakikisha huduma inayotiririka bila kukatika kote nchini.

Ingawa kitengo cha Oil-to-Chemicals (O2C) bado ni mchangiaji mkubwa zaidi wa mapato ya kikundi hicho, mabadiliko ya kimkakati yanaendelea. Ambani alifichua mipango ya kubadilisha biashara hiyo hatua kwa hatua kwa kuzingatia vifaa vya kisasa na kemikali badala ya mafuta ya usafirishaji ya jadi. Reliance Retail continues its rapid expansion, having recently surpassed the 20,000-store milestone. A major growth driver will be Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL), which Isha Ambani described as one of the fastest-growing FMCG platforms globally. Having achieved a gross revenue of Rs 22,000 crore, the company aims to reach a staggering revenue milestone of Rs 1 lakh crore ($10.5 billion) by FY30.
Leadership Succession Nears Completion
The AGM also signaled a significant milestone in corporate governance, with Mukesh Ambani noting that the transition of operational leadership to the next generation is nearing completion. Akash, Isha, and Anant Ambani have officially assumed leadership roles across the group's core verticals—telecommunications, retail, digital services, and new energy—ensuring a stable roadmap for the company's future.
