Ahead of its listing on Thursday, Susan Electricals is commanding a Grey Market Premium (GMP) of approximately 34%. With the final issue price set at Rs 127 per share, the current GMP of roughly Rs 43 implies an unofficial trading price of around Rs 170. If this trend persists, the stock could see a significant pop at the opening bell, mirroring the strong debuts recently observed in the wires and cables sector of the SME segment.

The Rs 70.38-crore IPO—comprising a fresh issue of Rs 60.22 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of Rs 10.16 crore—witnessed overwhelming demand. By the time bidding closed on June 15, the issue was subscribed a staggering 216.63 times overall.

The appetite was particularly high among high-net-worth individuals. The non-institutional investor (NII) category saw a sharp 336-fold subscription, while the HNI bucket (investments above Rs 10 lakh) was subscribed nearly 389 times. The retail segment also showed intense interest, being subscribed 207.56 times, while Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) subscribed 142.65 times.

Explosive Financial Growth and Strategic Use of Funds

Susan Electricals has demonstrated exceptional financial momentum. The company's revenue nearly doubled from Rs 136.05 crore in the previous year to Rs 269.96 crore in FY26. More impressively, its Profit After Tax (PAT) more than tripled, jumping from Rs 5.65 crore to Rs 18.25 crore over the same period.

The company plans to deploy the IPO proceeds strategically to fuel further growth. Approximately Rs 33 crore is earmarked for working capital requirements, while Rs 10.29 crore will be utilized to expand its existing manufacturing facility in Sahibabad, Ghaziabad.
