𝗔𝗯𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗸 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗷𝗲𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗢𝗺 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝗹𝗮

Abhishek Banerjee led a TMC delegation to meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Friday.

The party opposes claims from 20 rebel MPs. These MPs say they merged with the Nationalist Citizens Party of India.

TMC leaders Kalyan Banerjee, Derek O'Brien, Mahua Moitra, and Sougata Roy joined the meeting.

The TMC wants the Speaker to take action. They want him to:

• Reject the merger claims.
• Start disqualification proceedings against the 20 MPs.
• Use anti-defection laws to remove them.
