I spent 14 years building software.
Most of my work involved enterprise applications, distributed systems, and cloud platforms. I worked with great teams. I learned a lot.
But I stayed quiet. I read more than I wrote.
I am joining DEV to change this habit.
Tutorials often skip the hard parts of software engineering. I want to talk about the real problems:
- Managing legacy systems
- Solving scaling challenges
- Handling production incidents at midnight
- Managing difficult migrations
- Making tough technical trade-offs
I will share my experiences and lessons from the field. I want to connect with engineers who care about architecture, engineering culture, and reliable systems.
I look forward to learning from you.
What was your biggest lesson after your first few years in the industry?
