Mumbai faces a water shortage. Delayed monsoon rains left reservoir levels low. Water stocks dropped to 10.35 per cent of total capacity.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) must protect drinking water. New rules start on June 17.
The BMC will stop water supply to these areas:
- Swimming pools
- Construction sites
These rules apply to homes, businesses, and factories. The goal is to save water for residents until rain returns.
