Susan Electricals Shares to List Today: Check GMP and IPO Details

Susan Electricals India is set to make its debut on the BSE SME platform today, amid significant excitement in the grey market. Investors are closely monitoring the listing, as the company's strong financial growth and robust subscription numbers suggest a potentially stellar market entry.

Strong Grey Market Premium Points to Gains

The enthusiasm for the Susan Electricals IPO is clearly reflected in the grey market, where the stock is currently commanding a Grey Market Premium (GMP) of approximately 34%. This implies an unofficial trading price of around ₹170 per share, a substantial jump from the final issue price of ₹127. If these trends persist, investors can expect a listing gain of roughly ₹43 per share, following the recent pattern of high-performing debuts in the wires and cables sector.

Massive Subscription Numbers Reflect Investor Appetite

The ₹70.38-crore issue saw overwhelming demand during its bidding period, which closed on June 15. The IPO was subscribed a staggering 216.63 times overall. Breaking down the categories, the Non-Institutional Investor (NII) segment saw the highest frenzy, subscribed 336 times, with the high-net-worth individual (HNI) bucket (investments above ₹10 lakh) being subscribed nearly 389 times. The retail category was also heavily oversubscribed at 207.56 times, while Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) subscribed 142.65 times.

Explosive Financial Growth and Business Model

Founded in 2007, Susan Electricals specializes in manufacturing aluminium and copper-based electrical winding wires, conductors, and power cables, such as low-tension PVC and XLPE-insulated cables. The company’s financial performance has been a primary driver for investor interest. In FY26, revenue nearly doubled to ₹269.96 crore from ₹136.05 crore in the previous year. Even more impressive was the Profit After Tax (PAT), which surged from ₹5.65 crore to ₹18.25 crore, more than tripling in the same period.

The company operates three manufacturing facilities in Ghaziabad and serves a diverse client base, including state-owned electricity distribution utilities and infrastructure companies. This positioning allows the firm to capitalize on government initiatives like the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) aimed at strengthening power distribution networks.
