𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻-𝗪𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗔𝗜 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
Over 25 models released in one week. This is the densest release window in AI history.
The list covers LLMs, image generation, speech, music, vision, video, and 3D.
The big players released massive updates:
- Anthropic launched Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5.
- OpenAI released GPT-5.6.
- Google DeepMind shipped Gemini 3.2 with native video understanding.
Open-weight models are catching up fast:
- Qwen 3.7 leads the open-source reasoning leaderboards.
- DeepSeek V4.1 matches GPT-5.5 coding scores for less money.
- GLM-5.1 is the best open-source coding model per Kilo Code.
- MiniMax M3 handles 1M token context windows.
Multi-modal models are also arriving:
- NVIDIA Cosmos 3 provides a world model for robotics.
- OpenClaw offers a framework for tool use.
- Stability AI released a new text-to-audio model.
- New NeRF models turn single images into 3D assets instantly.
The gap between closed and open models is shrinking. You run frontier-class models like GLM-5.1 or Qwen 3.7 on your own hardware. These models beat GPT-4 class systems on many tests.
My advice: Pick one model this week. Build a small project. The cost to experiment is low.
What are you testing this week?
