Moonshot AI released Kimi K2.7-Code on June 12, 2026. This coding model uses a 1-trillion parameter Mixture-of-Experts architecture. It uses 32B active parameters per token.

Key details:

  • Open weights: You can find it on Hugging Face.
  • Self-hosting: Host it on AWS or your own servers to keep your data private.
  • Tool use: It follows the Model Context Protocol. It works best in agent loops rather than simple chat.
  • Low cost: Input tokens cost $0.95 per million. Output tokens cost $4.00 per million.
  • Speed: A new HighSpeed mode is available.

One important note: Moonshot AI did not submit these results to independent benchmarks. All scores come from the vendor. There is no third-party SWE-bench result yet.
