The value of talent is shifting. Speed in writing code matters less than the ability to define problems.
The most valuable people will be expert generalists. They must understand business context and design tasks for AI agents. Domain experts like doctors, lawyers, and engineers must build AI muscle to amplify their impact.

AI allows small teams of three to five people to do the work of much larger groups.
Be careful with your talent pipeline. Do not fire all your junior staff to save money today. If you do not train juniors, you will have no seniors in ten years. Aim for an hourglass structure: senior orchestrators at the top, a lean middle, and a strong foundation of junior talent at the bottom.
