India's AI Services Revenue Hits $12 Billion as Adoption Scales Up

India's technology services sector is witnessing a massive structural shift as artificial intelligence moves from experimental pilots to full-scale production. According to recent data from Nasscom, the industry is already generating an estimated $10 billion to $12 billion in AI-related revenue, marking a significant milestone in the nation's digital evolution.

From Experimentation to Production-Ready AI

The era of "testing" AI is rapidly concluding. Nasscom reports that nearly 25 per cent of technology services companies have successfully transitioned their AI experiments into live production environments. This shift indicates that enterprises are no longer just curious about generative AI but are actively integrating it into their core business workflows.

To support this transition, the talent pool in India is expanding at a rapid pace. Currently, more than 2 million professionals are skilled in AI, with an additional 1,00,000 to 2,00,000 specialists trained in advanced AI capabilities. This technology, which focuses on autonomous agents capable of executing complex workflows, is expected to unlock an additional $300 billion to $400 billion in addressable market for technology services by 2030.
