Get your specific records Your email provider like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace provides unique values. You need four specific types of records:
- MX records: These direct incoming mail to your inbox.
- SPF records: These list the servers allowed to send your mail.
- DKIM records: These add a digital signature to your emails.
- DMARC records: These protect your domain from hackers.
- Update your MX records MX records are the most important for receiving mail.
- Delete old MX records from previous email services.
- Add the new records from your current provider.
- Set the correct priority numbers. A lower number means higher priority.
Copy every value exactly. Small mistakes cause delivery failures.
