Alibainisha kuwa licha ya mivutano ya kijiopolitiki katika Asia Magharibi na usumbufu karibu na Mlango wa Hormuz, ongezeko halisi la bei za petroli na dizeli limekuwa likiwa la takriban ₹7.60 kwa lita.

Puri alisisitiza jukumu la serikali katika kufyonza mishtuko ya soko kupitia hatua za kifedha. Alibainisha kuwa serikali kuu imepunguza ushuru wa bidhaa kwenye petroli na dizeli mnamo Novemba 2021, Mei 2022, na hivi karibuni, ikifyonza mzigo wa takriban ₹10 kwa lita. Aidha, alilinganisha utendaji wa India duniani, akisema kuwa miongoni mwa mataifa 193 wanachama wa Umoja wa Mataifa, ni Japan pekee iliyoona ongezeko dogo zaidi la kulinganisha katika bei za mafuta.

Beyond energy, the Minister touched upon India's broader economic trajectory and regional progress. He highlighted the rapid growth of Uttar Pradesh, noting its Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) surged from approximately ₹13 lakh crore in 2016-17 to nearly ₹36 lakh crore recently.

He also used the visit to praise Sonbhadra’s transformation, noting its rise in the government’s Delta Ranking. The district's per capita income has seen a significant jump from ₹43,000 in 2018 to approximately ₹1.2 lakh today, signaling a shift away from its previous identity as a backward region.
